8:30 AM to 7 PM
At Evo Health and Wellness
340 Sunset Ave, Venice, CA

Evo is excited to announce the first retreat of its kind.

Ctrl+Alt+Del is a full day experience to refresh your mind and your body.

So often we have stories about ourselves that become fixed. We decide that we are a certain way and there’s nothing we can do about it.

Join Gali Barak and Koorosh Rassekh, leaders in the fields of narrative therapy and mindfulness, for a daylong retreat.

Drawing from the latest thinking in the field, the retreat combines therapeutic conversation with recharging somatic work. Through mindfulness, movement, delicious food, and inspiring discussion, participants gain concrete tools to unlock new possibilities.

Explore the day's schedule.

Check in, grab coffee or tea, eat breakfast. Arrive early, pick up your bag of goodies, and start the day with a nutritious breakfast.

Identity Reboot. Kick off the day with an eye-opening session. As humans, we are all made up of many different versions of ourselves. Yet, so often, many of these possibilities remain untapped. Discover forgotten parts of your identity, counter stories that no longer serve you, and explore new possibilities for ways of being.

Mindful Life. Practice self compassion in this instructional meditation session. Learn concrete tools for staying grounded, focused, and present in a chaotic world.

Grab lunch and relax. Enjoy a delicious, plant-based lunch, catered by special guest chef. Take advantage of Evo’s facility to relax, take a break, or hang out with new friends.

Yes! Dive into the afternoon with this session to clarify the things you care about most. What are you saying yes to? What are your everyday acts of resistance? In this session you'll focus on crystallizing values and goals.

What moves you? Complete the day with a mindful movement session that allows you to explore the connections between mind and body. Move, stretch, celebrate.

Social Hour with hors d'oeuvres and fresh juices.

Evo Health and Wellness is located in Venice Beach in a striking industrial style converted warehouse. With high ceilings and natural light pouring in from skylights and roll up garage doors, it has a peaceful and fun vibe.

What makes Ctrl+Alt+Del different?

Ctrl+Alt+Del is the first retreat of its kind, an eye-opening experience working with mind and body to get unstuck. It offers a chance to slow down, explore the ways we see ourselves, and recharge.

This all takes place in Evo’s beautiful Venice Beach location, where participants will enjoy mindfulness, movement, delicious food, and inspiring discussion. By the end of the day, participants will take away concrete tools to unlock new possibilities.

Who is this event for?

You! We all at some time or another feel “stuck.” Everyone is welcome to attend.

Maybe you have goals you would like to reach, but for some reason are not making progress towards these goals. Maybe you have stories about yourself and what you are worth that are causing you to lower your expectations. Maybe worry or hesitation is standing in the way of your making a decision or positive change in your life.

The goal of Ctrl+Alt+Del is to have a daylong session to refresh your perspective and get a jumpstart on the things you care about. By the end of the day, our plan is for you take away new ideas and concrete steps to move things in the direction you want to go.

What is somatic work?

Somatic work is a holistic therapeutic approach that addresses the relationship between the mind and body. It includes a wide range of practices that relate mind and body, including mindfulness, yoga, bodywork, nutrition, and more. Evo uses somatic work as a core part of its approach as a way to help people develop new understandings of the relationship between oneself and the body. Work that connects the mind and body helps people pause, regulate their bodies, and begin to feel more comfortable in their own skin.

Do I need to be in shape to attend?

No! All bodies are welcome for this work. You do not need to be “in shape” or have any experience doing meditation or any other athletic activity to participate. Please let us know when you register if you have special accommodations.

Who is Evo?

Evo is a health and wellness center that focuses on the therapeutic healing connections between mind and body.

We are planning the launch of something big, soon to come. Ctrl-Alt+Del is Evo’s first step. Those who attend will play a part in helping us grow this groundbreaking work.

If you’ve been to Evo’s website, you know that Evo’s core program is an intensive mental health program with a focus on addictions - including substances, food, gambling, etc. However, Ctrl+Alt+Del is not specifically focused on addiction. Those dealing with addiction or even just habits they’d like to break are welcome—however, so is everyone else.

How many people will be there?

For this first retreat, one top priority is to create an immersive and intimate experience. We are capping participants at 12 people, which we think is ideal for vibrant group conversation and exploration. This is an incredible value considering that most retreats typically do not have less than 40-50 people.

What should I wear and bring?

Since the day will include some meditation and movement, please wear comfortable clothes and shoes. They should be clothes that are easy to stretch and move in. You may want to bring socks and a sweater in case it gets cool inside.

Will there be food?

Breakfast, lunch, and snacks will be provided. Special guest chef Marlene Aguilar will cater a nourishing lunch based on local, seasonal, and indigenous ingredients to help participants recharge and feel healthy inside and out.

What’s the friend discount?

We welcome you to bring others who you think would also benefit. We are offering discounted registration if you sign up with a friend.

$295 - Individual registration $225 - $70 off each registration if you sign up with a friend

Is there a waiting list?

Yes. Space for Ctrl+Alt+Del is extremely limited, since we are capping participants to 12 people. However, we will contact you if space should open and will keep you informed of future events.

Is registration refundable?

Ctrl+Alt+Del is non-refundable though tickets are transferable. To transfer your ticket to another person, login to your Eventbrite account. Click the “My Tickets tab”, followed by “View your Order” to edit your ticket. Enter the name and email address of the person you would like to transfer your ticket to and press “Save.”

Where will it be? Is there parking?

The retreat will take place at Evo’s location in Venice beach at 340 Sunset Ave, Venice, CA 90291. You can find street parking and enter through the front entrance. You’ll enter through the front gate. You can spot it because it has a giant ladybug mural on the front.
